Challenge 2012: Speculative Romance

As part my come back into book blogging I thought I'd jump into a challenge or two.  The details of BookChickCity's Speculative Romance Cghallenge 2012:


Challenge Details
Timeline: 01 Jan 2012 – 31 Dec 2012
Rules:  There are 4 levels to choose from -

• One Sexy Demon: Read 6 Speculative Romance novels in 2012
• Two Sexy Werewolves:  Read 12 Speculative Romance novels in 2012
• Three Sexy Vampires:  Read 18 Speculative Romance novels in 2012
• Four Sexy Archangels:  Read 24 Speculative Romance novels in 2012

Genres permitted:  Paranormal, Dark Fantasy, Urban Fantasy, Steampunk, Sci-Fi and Apocalyptic romances.

I am going to shoot for Two Sexy Werewolves, that's 12 books! :-) I'll post my progress on the challenge page.

Thoughts on re-entering the book blog world

I have really taken my eye off what is happening in the world of book blogging (but not blogging as a whole but that's another story!) so now that I'm back I need to get up to speed!  What have I missed?

Which are the must reads blogs now?
What should I take part in?
Are people still using Blogger or have lots of people gone over to Wordpress?
What's happening about GFC that I keep seeing?
Does everyone have Twitter now?
What about a Facebook page?
What else do I need to know?

I have so many questions and things I want to know! I feel like I'm returning to a friendly world which I have missed but that life made me take a break from.

I'm Back! My book blog rises again like a Phoenix!!!

Welcome to my book blog!!

I love to read and I love to write so I love to book blog :-)  I have not had much time to do either in the last few months as life has got in the way. I was forced to suspend my book blog but now I am all sorted and want to revive my book blog which I loved doing so much! 


Some of you reading might even remember my book blog known as Magic Faerie's Paranormal Review. I have decided to revive my old blog rather than start a new one but I am giving it a complete overhaul including a new name.


Over the coming days (weeks?) I will be updating the look and content of my blog. I look forward to sharing it with you. Among other things I will be:

• Changing the name to refresh the blog (done)
• Updating the look of the blog
• Checking out what is going on in the book blogging community
• Clearing out old or irrelevant content, side bars etc
• Writing some fantastic reviews
• And more.....

I'm really looking forward to this!
