Thoughts on re-entering the book blog world

I have really taken my eye off what is happening in the world of book blogging (but not blogging as a whole but that's another story!) so now that I'm back I need to get up to speed!  What have I missed?

Which are the must reads blogs now?
What should I take part in?
Are people still using Blogger or have lots of people gone over to Wordpress?
What's happening about GFC that I keep seeing?
Does everyone have Twitter now?
What about a Facebook page?
What else do I need to know?

I have so many questions and things I want to know! I feel like I'm returning to a friendly world which I have missed but that life made me take a break from.

  1. I'm definitely no authority, but it seems as though the major players in the book blogosphere are the ones that have been pretty big for a while. Parajunkee, Wicked Little Pixie, Dear Author, Smart Bitches Trashy Books, All Things Urban Fantasy, Rex Robot Reviews, Tynga's Reviews. Blogs like The Qwillery, Book Girl of Mur-y-Castell, aobibliosphere, and Badass Book Reviews are ones that are either newer, or--in the case of The Qwillery--I wasn't aware of before late last year, but are definitely favorites, with excellent content.

Indeed, it seems that many people have been shifting to Wordpress, especially following the move to cut off GFC functionality to non-Blogger blogs.

Seems like Twitter is where much of the latest blog news happens. Cover reveals, giveaway announcements, banter between bloggers and readers and authors and the little Twitter birdies. ^_^

I was really pleased to see you're back to book blogging! I'm looking forward to your upcoming content! ^_^
